We are a small horse stud located at the base of Maungatautari in the Waikato in New Zealand breeding New Zealand Sport Horses.

Our aim is to produce sensible, athletic sport horses suitable both for competitive and pleasure riders.

Stallions

We have two stallions which are both available for services to outside mares either by in-hand services or AI.

Sirocco Spartacus

Sirocco Spartacus is a stunning stallion that is producing horses that are stamped with his mark and are selling well, including internationally.

Spartacus is ½ Clydesdale, ½ Thoroughbred but is a lightly built horse for this cross. He displays a forward movement which allows his offspring to compete successfully in the flat disciplines as well as jumping.

Spartacus has a great family legacy of Show Jumpers including his half-sister the NZ Olympic Show Jumper Madison. His family does not stop with this single horse but has included numerous top Show Jumpers such as Abba Dabba and Hercules, as well as several horses competing overseas in both Japan and America.

If you're looking at a great horse to put over your Thoroughbred then Spartacus should be on your short list. With foals reducing down to ¼ Clydesdale you end up with a wonderful cross.

Morewynstowe Cascade

Our second stallion, Morewynstowe Cascade, is a classified and approved NZ Warmblood stallion by Rockstar, out of our NZ Warmblood foundation classified mare Tessa Dream.

He is a modern type of Warmblood with a pedigree including the top stallions Rubenstein, Weltmeyer, and Florestan I. He has inherited their natural elevation and elasticity resulting in amazing movement.

His Dam has also passed on solid jumping bloodlines including Battle Waggon, and Silver Dream, which enable him to also compete in jumping disciplines.

His first foal was born in 2013 and has shown his incredible movement along with lovely temperament and trainability.

Morewynstowe Horses

We have been breeding from our stallions since 2009 using mares that we feel compliment them.

By being hands on with these horses right from the moment that they are foaled we have developed a great relationship with them and they have developed into trainable horses that are eager to please.

These progeny have delivered consistent results in competitions with great comments from the judges which we feel shows the quality of horse that we are breeding at Morewynstowe Stud.

We also currently have a selection of horses which we are training in preparation for sale which are from the Grand Prix Show Jumper Charlton Javelin. These horses are showing major promise in Dressage, Show Jumping and Eventing. They have a lovely temperament and are a pleasure to work with.
